• Scan computer for codes, no codes present. Road test, loose throttle when engine is warmed up. Remove and replace throttle body for test, vehicle still has problem. Remove and replace gas pedal sensor and road test, still has problem. Remove and replace throttle body and ecm relays, possibly heating up and causing loss of throttle, still has problem. Found vehicle hasn't had latest up date – $360.00 through dealer. This will let you get transmission codes if transmission is failing. According to dealer CVT transmission is the issue causing problem. Computer is going into fail-safe mode because of transmission failure.
